What is Ground Penetrating Radar

Ground Penetrating Radar

GPR uses high-frequency (usually polarized) radio waves, to emit electromagnetic energy into the ground.  When the energy encounters a buried object or a boundary between materials having different  permittivity, it may be reflected or refracted or scattered back to the surface. Similar to seismology, GPR methods implement electromagnetic energy rather than acoustic energy. This allows us to get a visual of what is in the concrete.

Why Use Ground Penetrating Radar

Ground Penetrating Radar is a nondestructive way to locate any hazards or obstructions in the concrete. This ensures a safe work environment, by allowing companies to avoid costly mistakes that could also lead to injuries on site.
